🌞 Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal, with a few hours of gentle morning sun beneficial when available. Plenty of light helps maintain compact growth and the distinctive dolphin-shaped leaves. Avoid sudden exposure to intense afternoon sun, which can scorch the foliage.

💧 Water: Allow the soil to dry substantially between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain completely. String of Dolphins stores water in its succulent leaves and is much more tolerant of being slightly dry than staying constantly wet.

💦 Humidity: Prefers average household humidity and does not require elevated humidity. Good airflow is beneficial, particularly after watering.

🌡️ Temperature: Thrives between 60 and 80°F (16 to 27°C). Protect from frost, cold drafts, and prolonged temperatures below approximately 50°F.

🌱 Soil: A loose, fast-draining succulent mix is ideal. A blend containing cactus or succulent soil with additional perlite or pumice provides excellent drainage and helps protect the roots from excess moisture.

🌿 Fertilizer: Feed lightly once a month during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant or succulent fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce or discontinue feeding during slower winter growth.
